"Tiny but Mighty" Squiggle Painting
Regular price $75.00
"Tiny but Mighty": 6"x6"x1/4"
During the 2020/21 quarantine, I struggled with a lot of anxiety and depression. To help combat them slightly, and to get out some of my frustrations, I started painting what I now consider a physical representation of what my brain felt like, and still does here and there. Lots of disjointed ideas, polka dots, creative endeavors, unfinished tasks, etc. I did this most nights before bed, and it truly helped me.
As I write this, I have painted over 40 of these pieces! Each one is a hand drawn continuous squiggle that is digitized and laser cut out of either 1/8" or 1/4" Baltic Birch Plywood. They are painted using high quality acrylic paints and sometimes paint markers. To protect them, they have also been coated in a special UV protective clear coating that is supposed to be satin, but sometimes is glossier than Id want. All depends on the colors and/or brand paint I used.
I struggled on how to add hardware to these since I wanted to owner of each piece to have the option of which direction is was hung. I will be including Command Velcro Strips with each piece since that seems to be the best way to hang these, but if you'd prefer metal hook with wire, please let me know during checkout.
Please note that I also took a lot of care and thought when it came to pricing these. I kept track of how many hours each one took, the supplies used and any extra shipping supplies that may be needed due to size or shape (I couldn't add these in to the shipping calculator).
If you have any questions, please contact me and I'll try to answer as fast as I can!
Due to COVID19, and whatever is going on with the USPS, shipping is down to once a week and there may be delays in route.
I apologize for this, but this shop is run by one person, Jessee, who has several autoimmune diseases and is high risk when it comes to the virus. This means places like the post office are off limits.
For most of 2020 Jessee wad driving to a post office 30 minutes away that has an outdoor package drop off and is a major depot in the area. That way the packages bypass our local small town post office and go straight to a sorting center.
However from now until sometime in the new year, most items were taken out of the shop. There is just too much going on with the USPS and the Holidays. We will fully reopen once things calm down.
Print on Demand items have been left in the shop. Jessee designs these and another company prints and ships them. Each item may take up to 8 weeks to ship right now, and we can not control when. So please be patient with us!
Send us all the good vibes and Happy Holidays!
